2nd line Wintel Support / Analyst, Stellenbosch

Our client in the Agricultural sector, based in the Cape Winelands area, is looking for an 2nd Line Wintel Support / Analyst to join their highly established team.

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Resolve support issues
  • You will be top line of escalation internally with complete ownership of 2nd line technical issues and liaison with 3rd party clients and external vendors
  • Support and administer technologies including Windows Server 2008/2012, Citrix Xenapp, Exchange, and Active Directory
  • Account administration of all core office systems
  • Problem solving Network, PC/Server hardware and OS issues
  • To Assist and complete operational tasks, data management, incident logging, reporting, systems monitoring, systems testing and disaster recovery as require
  • Ensures that appropriate standards are adhered to, providing technical support and undertaking technical project work
  • Provide training and guidance to junior level staff
  • Follow the ITSM process including Knowledge Management

Proficiency in the following systems:

  • Microsoft Active Directory
  • SCCM/Altiris or similar software
  • Microsoft Operating Systems and network technologies
  • Microsoft scripting and group polices
  • Microsoft Exchange administration and maintenance
  • Industry standard desktop applications
  • Knowledge of Windows Server 2008 / 2012
  • PCs, laptops, printers and peripherals

Minimum Requirements:

  • Matric
  • T. Qualifications
  • +- 2 years’ experience in a similar role
  • Fully Bilingual in English & Afrikaans
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong team player
  • Problem-solving
  • Ability to take ownership of problems and see them through to completion
  • Ability to communicate in a high-pressure environment
