Inventory Controller, Cape Winelands

Our client, a multi-national company in the Agricultural sector, is looking to appoint an experienced Inventory Controller at their offices based in the Cape Winelands area.

Duties and responsibilities:

  • Monitoring and maintaining current inventory levels, ensuring quantities that appear in the system are accurate
  • Maintain and update inventory records
  • Reconcile inventory discrepancies and report any discrepancies
  • Maintaining optimal stock levels to ensure timely availability of stock
  • Managing excess and ageing stock
  • Using electronic inventory tracking to reconcile inventory with 3rd party stakeholders
  • Creating and maintaining spreadsheets to report and analyze data daily weekly monthly
  • Presenting reports and analyses to senior management
  • Tracking & updating stocks both on sheets & computerized system

Minimum requirements:

  • 3+ Years’ experience in inventory management  in Commodities field, with good knowledge of day and year storage
  • Experience of silo certs and physical movement of stock origin to destination
  • Experienced in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel level 3 and advanced  )
  • Excellent written and verbal communications skills
  • Exemplary mathematical and analytical skills
  • Problem solving and strong personality
  • Able to work under pressure,  irregular or extended hours, including weekends

Salary on offer:  Market related – Negotiable
